Local Environmentalist, Author and BBC Presenter

Hi Jon,
That is indeed fantastic news! Congratulations to you and all the members and
supporters of NAIL who have campaigned so hard and so effectively against the
expansion of the Eastcroft incinerator.
All the best,
Councillor G. Richard Mallender
Chair, Green Party of England & Wales

Jon,
Congratulations and thank you very much for your work against the incinerator expansion. Will you will be extending the campaign to try and close the Eastcroft incinerator altogether?
Again many thanks,
Regards,
Andrew E

Absolutely brilliant - you amaze me at times. Very well done.

Jon
Congratulations a great victory for you, Nail, the city and common sense. Said it before and will say it again, I really admire your energy and tenacity, keep up the good work.

congratulations on the outcome and thanks for your efforts. i know very
little of the planning system governing incinerators but was around the
opencast coal scene in the east midlands for 20 years. That taught me not to
have much faith in the democracy of planning. The number of opencast sites
that were rejected by local planning committees but would be
allowed on appeal outnumbered any other category. My experience there
suggested that if government policy
wanted something to happen, it happened unless you can make it such a
controversial issue that MPs seats are
threatened.
good luck for the future but don't assume that's the end of the story.

Congratulations.
How wonderful to have such a successful campaign. I haven’t been able to do much because I live in Gedling, but it’s been great to witness a well-put together movement.
Keep up the good work.
Kind regards
Rochelle
