congratulations on the outcome and thanks for your efforts. i know very little of the planning system governing incinerators but was around the opencast coal scene in the east midlands for 20 years. That taught me not to have much faith in the democracy of planning. The number of opencast sites that were rejected by local planning committees but would be
allowed on appeal outnumbered any other category. My experience there suggested that if government policy
wanted something to happen, it happened unless you can make it such a controversial issue that MPs seats are
threatened.

good luck for the future but don't assume that's the end of the story.

Please accept our (MAIN) thanks for your ongoing and continued support and contribution over the past months at meetings and input to the MAIN campaign in Forest Town, and more recently at the meeting in Rainworth in support of their anti incineration campaign.

Please also accept MAIN's congratulations your success in fighting off the threat of the Eastcroft expansion. Well done!

You may also be aware, but the planning committee at MDC voted on Monday night to reject Veolias plans to site a MRF at Forest Town, which is further good news for us.
