06-03-06 NAIL Supporters Submit over 3200 Signature Petition to Nottingham City Council
Councillor Darren Mathews (Lab) was presented with
NAIL's petition collected by our 1000+ members and signed by over 3200
Nottingham residents. Councillor Mathews presented it to full council meeting
on our behalf. Our petition called on the City Council to;
1. Opposed the
expansion of Eastcroft incinerator
2. Stop sending
waste to landfill if it can be recycled or composted
3. Separate
collections of recyclable waste – like paper, glass, steel, aluminium etc
4. Separate
collection of kitchen and garden waste for composting
5. Close down the Eastcroft incinerator
