03-12-05 NAIL Community 'Rubbish Day'
This fun day out, held at the Sneinton Old School Hall, was all about communicating with the general public about the incinerator in Nottingham, what happens to our waste and the plans to expand it.
Communication took the form of a very fun and positive way through workshops, painting, games and talks.
The day was aimed at children and families and went extremely well, we received very positive feedback and was attended by over 200 people as well as media from both local TV stations.
The evening also went down a treat with around 100 attending thought out the evenings entertainment, consisting of local bands and performers who kindly gave up their time help raise money for NAIL. Captain Rubbish and the Trashetts even performed, a band who formed for this event and sang about rubbish and the abomination called Eastcroft incinerator.
